Hand forged candle sconces were used to elevate light for reading and to keep children from it. There were many different styles. Two styles our blacksmiths often make are a heart shape at the top or a twisted design swaying upward.

This was a very popular item used in the kitchen. Hand forged harnen irons were mainly a device to toast breads and cakes. You set the food on the shelf and set it as close to the fire as needed to cook it.

This hand forged spatula was used to cook in an open fire and not have to stand so close to the fire because of its long handle. It has a hook at the top to hang it by the fireplace when not in use.
