The 1915 Miller Octagonal Barn was moved from Bridgewater, in Rockingham County, Virginia. The barn reflects a national fad of octagonal buildings in the mid 19th-century. In the central Valley of Virginia, four known octagonal structures have been surveyed. The Miller barn follows the traditional bank barn form, encased in an octagonal shell. The lower level, built into the barn, provided space for cattle and horse stabling and the upper level, accessible by the ramp, holds the threshing floor and hay storage area.
