Summer 2009 Summer Programs Historic Day Camp June Learn how to cook over an open fire, raise your own food, care for animals and how to take care of the farm. Discover how kids of the past had fun! Ages: 5-8 years old Cost: $100.00 Dates: June 15-19, 2009 Time: 9:30-1:00 We advise campers to wear clothing that is appropriate for messy and wet outdoor activities. Boots are a must! Please bring packed lunch and bottled water! Living on the Frontier Discover how folks survived in the New World on the Frontier. Try your hand at splitting logs, woodworking, open-pit cooking, music and more. Ages: 9-13 Cost: $100.00 Dates: June 22-26, 2009 Time: 9:30-1:00 Due to the nature of this camp we advise campers to wear boots and clothes they don't mind getting dirty! Enrichment Camp Take a trip around Virginia and discover all the wonderful talent in the arts. This year's enrichment camp theme is Virginia's Arts. In this traveling enrichment camp, students will be keeping a journal of their travels as we go to Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Kluge Aboriginal Museum, Taubman Museum of Art and P. Buckley Moss Museum. We will be exploring the various forms of art and culture in Virginia! Ages: 9-13 years old Cost: $150.00 Dates: July 6-10 Time: Varies according to field trip location (details in registration packet) We advise that campers bring a bag lunch (or money for lunch) and snack each day, as well as spending money for the gift shops.
